The Tatra Slovak Dancers of Milwaukee have been in existence since May of 1972 and are a non-profit organization comprised of Slovak and Non-Slovak people of various backgrounds from the Milwaukee area who love and celebrate the culture, folk dance, and music of Slovakia. The group performs locally throughout the state of Wisconsin, the Midwest, and in previous years, has participated in several folk dance festivals in Slovakia.
